The Rocking R Guest Ranch invites you to experience “Your Little Piece of the Range.” Just a short drive from Calgary Alberta, our luxury bed and breakfast accommodations have gorgeous views of Eagle Lake and the majestic Rocky Mountains. Enjoy captivating sunsets and star filled skies while you relax in the hot tub or toast marshmallows over the campfire, and then retire to your charming cabin atop a ridge.

Luxury Bed & Breakfast and Cottage Accommodations at Rocking R include the cozy The Hitch n’ Post Cabin. In the evening you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of cowboy coffee while sitting in front of a wood burning fireplace before you tuck yourselves into layers of exquisite linens atop the most comfortable of beds.

The cabin has a large bathroom and access to our Spa Facilities. In the summer you can enjoy a two-course hot breakfast served on your private deck and in the winter it will be served to you in the comfort of your cabin. The cottage is fully-equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a coffee-maker and a BBQ, so pick up a few items at the local grocery store and you’ll never want to leave!

If you are looking for a family getaway or a weekend with friends may we suggest The Bunkhouse Cabin. You won’t find any bunks in this luxuriously appointed cabin! The cottage offers two bedrooms, each uniquely decorated with fine linens, cozy duvets and bright window seats. The bathroom features a large tub and a shower big enough for two and comes complete with bubble bath and fluffy towels. The Bunkhouse Cabin has a full-service kitchen and a BBQ so you can test your culinary skills or have our chef prepare a traditional western meal for you. You can enjoy our delicious two-course breakfast on your large private deck or in the beautiful country kitchen of your cabin.

On the weekends we serve our guests a scrumptious two-course breakfast and during the week we will deliver our ”Breakfast in a Basket” the night before and you can enjoy breakfast at your leisure the following day. Breakfast is included in the cost of your accommodation. Evening meals are included as part of a package.

Equestrian Activities

 If you are looking to do more than relax while staying at our bed and breakfast we offer a number of equestrian activities that can be designed to meet your comfort level. For guests looking for a tranquil equestrian experience we offer enjoyable Wagon Rides. If you are a beginner, sign up for our Introduction to Horses. For those wishing to spend more time in the saddle we offer a One Day Equestrian Adventure. If you really want to “Cowboy Up!” we also offer a Three Day Equestrian Adventure.

Other Activities

Spend a day at the Calgary Stampede, experience Strathmore Heritage Days, enjoy a night out at the Rosebud Dinner Theatre or explore the Tyrell Museum of Paleontology.

If you like to golf there are three Golf Courses within a 15 minute drive and two more within a 25minute drive. Our winter activities include sleigh rides, tobogganing and ice fishing.
